Thoughts, Smiles And Hidden Tears

You have someone coming up to you and telling you how lucky you are to have a father who’s so involved with their kids and have similar interests.
At that point, all you wish is for him to be alive again.
Wishes, mere wishes!

You want to cry but you can’t.
So you pass the most convincing smile and look away.
Moments, dreadful moments!

You walk down the corridors hoping to wipe away the memory of what just happened.
You get on to crowded streets so that you don’t seem alone.
Escape, deliberate escape!

You want to get home and sit to yourself.
Cry your heart out.
Put yourself to sleep and pretend like it never happened and dream of what you wish were true.
Dreams, sweet dreams!
