Economics is what we bank on
In good times and in bad
For a teenager, it builds his reputation
For an adult, his bachelor’s pad
Famous men gave it great importance
Common citizens today bear the brunt
Inequalities in abundance
And poverty on the forefront
While most hope for progression
It is but a dream
It is nothing but an illusion
That great wealth is an easy gain
If only we could live on love and fresh air
You wouldn’t feel the pressure and find life unfair
It’s then a choice you have to make
Is it the riches you long for or simple joys that you await?
Do we then know what we are seeking for?
Is it the monies or just a life well lived?
