I’m Dreaming Of A Gold Christmas!

Through the year we look forward to so much. And while those days pass us by at the blink of an eye, there’s always this season that is most awaited. Like someone rightly said, every month is a countdown to December and there’s no denying that. There’s something about this time of the year that is so beautiful and surreal.
Suddenly the air is full of cheer and everything seems so right. Lights across the streets and stars in every home. Carols playing everywhere. The sweet smell of sweets and coffee, topped with rum. Santa on his sleigh. Christmas trees lit up filled with gifts below. Church bells ringing and choirs singing. Malls and markets covered in red. Every web-space filled with seasons greetings. Family and friends get together from everywhere. There’s a chill in the air, a hop in your step, a song in your heart and the hope of a bright new day. Baby Jesus laid in a manger, like a King on his throne – the greatest gift of all!
The thought of celebrating a festival with people across the world is beautiful. People come together from different communities and feel as one. Each year we have new traditions, new additions to the celebrations. As a child it’s all about the candy and Santa, as you grow older it’s more about spreading the cheer.
This year I’m dreaming of a gold Christmas. One that shines out from the rest. I’m dreaming of a bright night full of cheer and hope. I’m dreaming of fond memories. I’m dreaming of love and understanding. I’m dreaming of a silent home being filled with the sound of laughter. I’m dreaming of a dark street coming to life. I’m dreaming of the star leading us out of darkness. I’m dreaming of happy faces. I’m dreaming of abundant graces. I’m dreaming of peace on earth. I’m dreaming of a miracle.
