Shame On Us Now?

We knew we were trouble when we walked into this and but we took the risk.
We were willing to defy the usual, to act on the unspoken.
We knew the odds, we’d been through the differences. What’s changed now?
What was primary now seems secondary. Should we feel ashamed?
Blaming it on just another phase means nothing.
You may not trust me but are you willing to believe in my beliefs?
Are you willing to hold on or will you fly away, to another space?
